Ever since I was a little girl,

I dreamed of being a physician. I grew up in a small country town in western New York where our family doctor was part of the fabric of our daily lives. We went to school with his children, sang with his family at church, and saw them at neighborhood parties. Going to his office was never scary – the receptionist was my friend’s mom and the nurse was his wife. He always took his time with us, listened closely, answered all our questions, and did his best to take care of us.

Fast forward many years and in 2002, I moved to Connecticut to continue my medical training in Middletown and get married. Since then, I have lived in Shelton and Monroe for over 20 years. My husband, Dave, and I have built a wonderful life here -- with 2 kids, a dog, a cat, a flock of chickens and a huge garden, to boot.

I have practiced medicine in a wide variety of settings -- from hospitals to community health centers.

However, it was in my own small private practice over the last 14 years, that I have been able to create the relationships with my patients that I value so much, and the kind that were so important in that little town where I grew up.

Over the last several years, it has become clear to me that those relationships are the true art behind medicine, and a path for deep healing to occur.

My hope is that together we can develop a relationship to help you connect to your deepest inner wisdom, to connect to your heart, so you can find joy and peace, wherever your path may lead you.

With much love,

Dr. Tonya Cremin
